The amigos

It strikes me how different the amigos are really and these pictures say just that!

Akira is a very flirty cat. When she gets into that mood, she would look at you with those flirty eyes and then you forget that she is also very prima donna. She is fearless on top of tall cupboards and would jump from the bed or table to the top of cupboards in one graceful movement. Toro and of course Bujang is no match for the acrobat of the trio. She absolutely adores the tuna from Granny Lucy and licks her lips even before the tuna hits the food dish. It's a pity the pet store is not bringing them in anymore as it seems it moves slowly. No one it seems buys Granny Lucy's dehydrated tuna for cats except me. I haven't seen it in other petshops.

This is Toro's other self. You can see how much of a hunter he is just from this very intense stance. I can just imagine him on some tall mountain stalking prey with his long quivering whiskers waiting patiently for prey to come. The intense blue eyes are quite hypnotic. He can also be very affectionate and not at all shy when asking to be groomed or even a head scratch. He is the only cat who would head butt me to be scritched. Toro absolutely loves bream flakes that I buy from the pet shop. He snatches them from my fingers and I could hear him chomping them down quickly.

Bujang is a a pacifist and likes nothing better than a long sleep near a breezy window (and of course his basket) He is quite the adventurer and loves cheese, any kind of cheese, as long as it is cheese. He could smell cheese from miles away. He also loves fish crackers. He takes things in his stride and after the initial weeks of growling over stange cats taking over his territory, he would accept them quite readily if they would just let him get on with his own life. To date he has tried to teach Toro this very lesson to little effect as Toro is always in his face and trying to block his way to almost anywhere. Sometimes Bujang would stare at Toro for some minutes to remind him of his low status and if that doesn't work, Bujang gives him a few swipes on his head. Akira is the only cat who could get Bujang to groom her and the only cat Bujang would let groom him (for a while).

But of course I have only these three cats and at no point have they ever slept on each other or even curl up together like the many cats I see on the other blogs :) I wonder if it will ever happen :)
