Monster in the house!

No I am not afraid.

I have sharp teeth and no monster can scare me. No Sir!

Do you really think I care?

Together we will fight to our last breath!

Today the air-con guys came to service my air-con units. I had been using the air-con because of the haze and I had to sleep with all my windows shut. It got really stuffy and the unit was creating more problems for me than it was worth so I decided to call the guys to the house to look at all the units. Of cos the amigos all behaved in their own inimitable way to deal with strangers in the house bearing noisy gadgets.

Bujang took everything in his stride. he gazed at the guys calmly and sat under the bed, the better to watch the proceedings. Then he migrated to the table so he could be far away from all the activity and still be able to watch their every move. The air-con guys came to pet him and he actually allowed them to touch him without batting an eyelid nor hold up his paws in warning. "He is very nice cat," they said. I guess Bujang is used to people as he was socialised from very young.

Toro and Akira on the other hand acted as though their very lives were in peril and Ms Akira actually jumped on top of the fridge, which freaked out grandma. She was afraid Ms Akira would fall off and be fried! So intrepid grandma captured her and put her in the bathroom and closed the door firmly behind her. Toro was caught quite nicely, before he decided to make a run for it and put in Ms Akira's night cage, where he promptly sat calmly. I guess he knew nothing could harm him when he was in there :)

After the guys left, both Ms Akira and Toro were released and they prompty ran to hide under grandma's bed together! I would never have believed it if I had not seen it myself. The guys left at about 4.30 but the 2 scaredy-cats came out from under the bed at about 6.00 pm! No traets could entice them from getting out any sooner. poor kitties. Once they came out, I gave everyone a treat and they were quite happy then to investigate every nook and corner of the house - to see that the monsters had actually left the premises. :)

  1. How funny, all the diffrint reactions. Bonnie has to march up to visitors, give them the once over, rub their ankles, then proceeds to growl, hiss, and whap their legs. It's worse if they try to touch her. But she WON'T be left out.

I, on the other paw, would purrfur to stay out of site an watch frum a safe distance. Maybe I'll sneak in later.

So, after all that, does the a/c werk better?

  3. Toro and Akira hiding together - that is unity in adversity. ;)

It's better to have a pal for support especially if Bujang laughs at them.
